At 14, actor and entrepreneur Ajani Carr speaks out for African-American youth

He has two personal rules for the roles he considers: He doesn’t want to cut off his afro, and he doesn’t want to have to change the way he talks. When he gives...

EA Newsletter – March 2017

Letter From the Editor By Morgan Sandler As we are coming to these last issues of the newsletter this year, I cannot express how grateful I am for the amazing team that has been assembled to work with me! Last year, when the newsletter first began, there were many problems, the biggest one being the lack of responsible reporters. When I accepted the position again this year, I was really nervous because of my past experience. However, I had no reason to be nervous with this team of students because they have all been very loyal, responsible,...

EA Newsletter – January 2017

Letter From the Editor By Morgan Sandler We have passed two of my favorite months, November and December. I’d like them a little more if they weren’t cold and snow filled, but beggars can’t be choosers, as the saying goes. These are my favorite months because they’re different from the rest; there is a more giving, thankful, and generous atmosphere among people. Our school community and students have been working really hard to give to those in need by participating in the food drive. The entirety of Exploration Academy has earned 504 points...
